Pick from one of five levels of medical coverage to supplement the coverage provided by your provincial health plan.

Option 1

Out-of-Country Emergency Medical Coverage: 100%

Medical Supplies & Services, In-Province Hospital, Vision, Eye Exams, Private-Duty Nursing, Hearing Aids, Orthopedic Shoes and Orthotics, Mental Health, Physiotherapist/Chiropractor, and Paramedical Service: No coverage

Option 2

Out-of-Country Emergency Medical Coverage: 100%

Medical Supplies & Services: 20%

In-Province Hospital: No coverage

Vision (Contact, Glasses): $150 every 24 months (12 months for children)

Eye Exams: 1 exam every 24 months (12 months for children)

Private-Duty Nursing: $10,000 per year

Hearing Aids: $300 every 3 years

Orthopedic Shoes and Orthotics: No coverage

Mental Health¹: Covered at 60% / $500 per year

Physiotherapist/Chiropractor: No coverage

Paramedical Service²: No coverage

¹Mental Health practitioners include psychologists, social workers (with a master of social work) and speech therapist.

²Paramedical services include: acupuncturists, dietitians, massage therapists, osteopaths, naturopaths, occupational therapy and podiatrists

Out-of-Country Emergency Medical Coverage: 100%

Medical Supplies & Services: 70%

In-Province Hospital: 100% semi-private room rate: $100 maximum per day

Vision (Contact, Glasses): $250 every 24 months (12 months for children)

Eye Exams: 1 exam every 24 months (12 months for children)

Private-Duty Nursing: $15,000 per year

Hearing Aids: $400 every 3 years

Orthopedic Shoes and Orthotics: No coverage

Mental Health¹: $1000 per year

Physiotherapist/Chiropractor: $800 per year

Paramedical Service²: $500 combined per year

Vision (Contact, Glasses): $350 every 24 months (12 months for children)

Eye Exams: 1 exam every 24 months (12 months for children)

Private-Duty Nursing: $20,000 per year

Hearing Aids: $500 every 3 years

Orthopedic Shoes and Orthotics: $250 combined per year

Mental Health¹: $1200 per year

Physiotherapist/Chiropractor: $1000 per year

Paramedical Service²: $650 combined per year

In-Province Hospital: 100% semi-private room rate: no maximum

Vision (Contact, Glasses): $450 every 24 months (12 months for children)

Eye Exams: 1 exam every 24 months (12 months for children)

Private-Duty Nursing: $25,000 per year

Hearing Aids: $600 every 3 years

Orthopedic Shoes and Orthotics: $500 combined per year

Mental Health¹: $1200 per year

Physiotherapist/Chiropractor: $1200 per year

Paramedical Service²: $800 combined per year

Things to Think About

When you enroll, you may choose one of three coverage levels:
- Employee only
- Employee + one—coverage for you and one dependent (spouse or child)
- Employee + two or more—coverage for you and two or more dependents.
