Receive Child & Elder Care Benefits
Through Bright Horizons

You have access to the Bright Horizons® network of high-quality childcare centres and in-home care providers, which can provide temporary care if you have a disruption in your regular care. Or, if Bright Horizons ® is unable to find care that meets your needs, you can find your own provider and receive a standardized reimbursement amount.

Register now, so you’ll be ready to use the service when you need it. Once registered, reservations can be made as far as 60 days in advance and up to the day that care is needed. To access services and download the Bright Horizons app visit https://clients.brighthorizons.com/gfs

Back-Up Benefit Details

Access up to 10 days of back-up care per employee per year
Centre-based care is C$15 per child/day or C$25 per family/day
In-home care is C$6 per hour
If network care is unavailable, employees will be reimbursed C$100 per day if they secure a personal caregiver

Whether you’re trying to figure out your kids’ homework, helping them study for a test, supporting your college student with their classes, managing your own schoolwork, or all of the above, your Bright Horizons® tutoring benefit makes life easier. Plus, it’s affordable!

Subsidized tutoring through Sylvan Learning and Varsity Tutors
3,000+ subjects; plus targeted support in math and reading
Available for learners ages 5+
Support throughout K-12, college, graduate school, and professional skills
Use it for academics, test prep, certifications, and more
You will receive 4 hours of tutoring for each Back-Up Care™ reservation.
The copay is $15 for every 4 hours of tutoring
Hours scheduled for tutoring are deducted from the total number of 10 days of back-up care allowed per employee each year.
